Technology

As a technical term&sbquo technology can be considered&sbquo in both a broad sense and a narrow sense&sbquo to be an objective system of activity that controls&sbquo both aggressively and actively&sbquo labor in the direct production process in which human beings take part. In the broad sense it refers to a system of relationships between the various means that enclose labor and the regulation of those means. In the narrow sense it refers to the means of labor and the system of regulations only. Accordingly&sbquo the development and progress of technology contain the prescription that they are stipulated by science. In the cognitive category that has this prescriptive nature at the core of technology&sbquo prescription becomes something that is merely entrusted to incremental and quantitative labor and its accompanying education. However&sbquo if the prescriptive nature of the technology is itself new or innovative then prescription becomes something that is qualitative and characterized by leaps and bounds. This is what's generally calved a technological innovation or technological revolution. This technological evolution urges innovations in production&sbquo and as a result defines social development and social reform. Regarding the relationship of design and technology&sbquo we must define the meaning of the expression design technology and the narrow significance of technological design. Moreover&sbquo this relationship between design and technology&sbquo the relationship of the production processes defined by design technology and the orientation that prescribes labor according to design and technical skill&sbquo is considered to be the technological environment that surrounds the subject of design. The reason for this is a historically tacit understanding about the fact technology always evolves or is reformed. However&sbquo in both the broad and narrow sense&sbquo the relationship between technology and human beings is not just a system of rules and methods regarding labor and the object of that labor&sbquo it has developed to the extent of defining the structure of society&sbquo that is&sbquo the power of technology defines our existence and continuance. This social reflection is an intellectual evaluation that reexamines the prescriptive and orderly nature of technology&sbquo the structural changes in the technological system brought about by design today&sbquo technology as a subject of design&sbquo and how it should be applied today.
